Harry Jamison is the General Manager of a.kitchen+bar, an American fare restaurant focused on seasonally inspired ingredients and innovative cocktails, located within AKA Rittenhouse Square. Harry attended The University of Pittsburgh, earning Bachelor’s degrees in Math and Music as well as a Physics minor. He went on to receive a Master’s in Piano Performance at Temple University and a certification in Hospitality Management from Cornell. Prior to joining the a.kitchen+bar team, Harry worked at the highly acclaimed Spoon in Pittsburgh as a server and bartender, learning the ropes under mentor and Sommelier, John Wabeck. In his role at Spoon, Harry quickly learned that restaurant work was a career path he wanted to pursue. In 2014, Harry made his way to Philadelphia, where he worked at High Street Hospitality Group’s Fork as Service + Beverage Director before a 3-year stint as the General Manager of the award-winning Townsend. In 2020, Harry returned to HSHG, this time taking the helm of a.kitchen+bar.
Throughout Harry’s career, he has been awarded many accolades in the industry including a nomination for Rising Star Philly by SevenFifty Daily and being featured on Philadelphia’s StarChefs. In 2022, under his purview, a.kitchen+bar was named a nominee for the James Beard Foundation’s “Outstanding Wine Program” award. Harry currently resides in Rittenhouse Square and when he is not at the restaurant, his hobbies include playing the piano and searching for Philadelphia’s best late-night tacos.
