About Alyssa
Alyssa Ellis is the General Manager of High Street, bringing Level 3 WSET certification and currently pursuing her WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wine. She holds a B.S. in Marketing from the University of North Carolina. Alyssa has worked in restaurants at nearly every position for the past 11 years, working her way up from food runner to manager.
Alyssa has deep roots in the Philadelphia dining scene, growing up in the area and having served as Manager of Mission Taqueria and as Restaurant General Manager at Sally in Fitler Square. A proud advocate for women in the industry, particularly women chefs and winemakers, Alyssa is passionate about creating inclusive spaces where everyone can thrive. She finds joy in witnessing guests discover new dishes and in helping her team learn about wine.
Alyssa lives in South Philly with her partner and 18-year-old toy poodle. On her days off, she enjoys reading, visiting Headhouse Square Farmers Market, and cooking dinner for her wife.
