The Wonton Project
Founded in April of 2021 as a timely culmination of a passion project, and a way to support the AAPI community following the hateful crimes in Atlanta, James Beard Foundation Award-Winning Restaurateur Ellen Yin launched The Wonton Project with a recreated version of her mother’s original home-style Chinese wonton recipe. The Wonton Project operates as a ghost kitchen out of sibling concept High Street and a portion of proceeds benefit Asian Americans United and other organizations fighting injustice. Learn how the project grounded Ellen’s sense of belonging to the hospitality industry as well as her personal identity as an Asian American.
